Cima Cavrighè (IT) - 1 322 meters

Nr 107

Third peak peak of today's "backyard-hike" into Valsolda in Italy (Monte Saletta - Monte Spelucco - Cima Cavrighè).

Honestly, as already happened with other peaks in this list, the only reason I came up here was that it's listed as a side-peak in the Guide (Swiss Alpine Club Guide, volume 5 at page 329 Guida delle Prealpi ticinesi).

In my eyes this should not count as a peak as it's more of a Ridge, having said that I guess that if you look at it from east, it could seem like a summit somehow.. it didn't at all from north-west from where I walked to it though.

The views are not bad but not comparable to the ones of Monte Spelucco where I have been 30 minutes earlier. It's a typical "peakbaggers-peak" to get one more in the personal list but really nothing more.

Therefore for anybody reading this with a peak bagging approach,  please find the explanations to arrive here below in the linked route. Simplified, the way I took to get here was: Cureggia - Pian di Scagn - Border to Italy - Alpe Bolgia - Monte Saletta - Alpe di Castello - Monte Spelucco.

The path between Monte Spelucco and Cima Cavrighè was in bad condition, I guess this is because nobody comes here anyways.. and now that I've been here,  I can absolutely understand why and it's unlikely that I'll ever come back again :-)

Still, a great day out in nature and another peak in the list; as this was the goal I had set in the morning (together with testing my injured ankle); I came back home from a successful day today.
