Reached summits counter:  152

First things first:

This list is principally intended for my personal use and only partially to be used as a guide for others, that's also the reason why there aren't so many details about duration and/or exact routes (there where a lot though but Suunto cancelled all my data when they changed their systems..). In fact, after a while I even stopped commenting and focused on pictures only, the links show you where we passed.

Most of the routes (at least in Switzerland) can be found in the official guides of the Swiss alpine club, I always try to mark which one I took, therefore if you want some detail I would recommend to buy them, they're useful anyways. For the other countries check on the maps or on the local guides before starting off, never ever go out there poorly prepared, as a little help though, you can find links to the paths at almost everyall of my peaks.

In my opinion, every summit is worth to be conquered no matter the height, they all have a history which goes back thousands of years and by standing on it you become a small part of this story. Furthermore, sometimes thanks to good prominence, even small mountains can have views which are as breathtaking as they are from a much higher summit.

I've started to mainly hike peaks in my region (Ticino) a few years ago I thought that it might be a good idea to add a bit of challenge in our usual hikes. What this means is, that you will find some mountains that aren't particularly high or special whatsoever.

The idea of starting off in the morning with a precise plan, a focused mindset, the clear goal of standing on top of a peak for the first time and the chance of being out there, is what keeps me doing it over and over again.

Of course, the personal peak-bagging glory also started playing its part after a while.. :-)

FYI: When peaks are on the boarder between two nations (and they often are), I'm putting them on the list of the nation where I started from, difficulty information can be found at the hikr.org link which is placed on every peak (related not only to the peak itself but to the whole hike).

Enjoy!
